LESSONS IN LIFE

1.) I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do
is be
someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
2.) I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't
care
back.
3.) I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only
seconds to
destroy it.
4.) I've learned that it's not what you have in your life but who you
have
in your life that counts.
5.) I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen
minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
6.) I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others
can
do but to the best you can do.
7.) I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important.
It's
what they do about it.
8.) I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give
you
heartache for life.
9.) I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always
two
sides.
10.) I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person
I
want to be.
11.) I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
12.) I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving
words.
It may be the last time you see them.
13.) I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you
can't.
14.) I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how
we
feel.
15.) I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls
you.
16.) I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship
is at
first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take
its
place.
17.) I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when
it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
18.) I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.
19.) I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just
don't
know how to show it.
20.) I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
21.) I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing
and
have the best time.
22.) I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down will be the ones to help
you get back up.
23.) I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be
angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
24.) I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the
longest distance. Same goes for true love.
25.) I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way
you
want them to doesn't mean they don't love you
with all they have.
26.) I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of
experiences you've had and what you've
learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've
celebrated.
27.) I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are
unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a
tragedy
it would be if they believed it.
28.) I've learned that your family won't always be there for you.
29.) It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care
of
you and love you and teach you to trust people again.
Families aren't biological.
30.) I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to
hurt
you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
31.) I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by
others.Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
32.) I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world
doesn't stop for your grief.
33.) I've learned that our background and circumstances may have
influenced
who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
34.) I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to
choose
sides even when I don't want to.
35.) I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean
they
don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't
mean
they do.
36.) I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead
of
their actions

*a friend e-mailed this to me.. and i aver that it is so true.. don't you think?

my bestfriend is a genius

gosh! (what an entrance!) my bestfriend is now a poet and she's really exquisite.. i envy her.. yes i do but i do also love her and idolize her. there are a lot of things that happened to me this past days and when my bestfriend made me a poem, it touches me so much.. well kind of because i told her to make me a poem.

this is the poem that she made for me:

"MORE THAN JUST A FLOWER"
a flower of her own beauty
so uniquely depicting bravery
that if you came from ethnicity
you might mistake her a deity

a flower with such a sweet nectar
sharing all of it with butterflies and bees
without limitations and expectations
for them to bring honey to their queens

i say, this exotic flower
must be well taken cared of
so that she'll remain immutable
despite being vulnerable

and thanks to this lovely flower
our world became colorful
she painted it red, blue and purple
with a scent so gentle

TATARIN!

last saturday i watched the play Tatarin at UP Diliman with some of my co-pamu members. it was kind of exploit but it was exquisite and the actors and actresses were very professional. every scene was symbolic.. you just have to be open minded in order for you to understand their play. i encourage you to watch it if you are a theater lover (like me). after watching the play, i got excited to read the book of Tatarin in order for me to understand it more cause there are some certain questions left in my mind. newei
ate irene, our friend and a former pamu member also, was the one who played the role of the virgin there.. she was so good and the rest of the girls in the intro. they were so professional in theater acting.. i admire them.

well i'm kind of tired already cause it's 2:56am and i still got classes at 7:30am. (glimpse at the mirror) i look so wasted.. haha.. newei i'm going to bed already so it's just fine. bye.
