KUPKAKE-INATOR

Summer holidays officially started at 11:00 am Sydney time 13 November 2009. FINALLY, a long term breather!

Right after exams, I had lunch with a couple of friends at Hurricane's FOR FREE! These are yet the best ribs I have had. nom nom nom. Afterwards, I went shopping around the city. Okay not shopping, more of stinging. I feel broke cause I haven't worked for 3 weeks. But hey, window shopping is always good. Plus checking out rubbish is always the funniest thing about going shopping anyway. I also went to the night market in Chinatown and got myself adorable necklaces.

Check them out:

aren't they adorable?

The day after that (14th November), was so packed with invites. I wanted to go to all of them but I can't. So I missed out on High-Tea and FilSoc Karaoke. I went to a family friends' Christening. It was fun-- not cause of the christening but because of the company and food! After a long time, I saw and talked and laughed and pigged out with Pia-- probably the one and only person I probably would agree that I look alike with.

Yours truly (left), Pia (right)

FYI, I do look extra white in these photos--probably the palest I have ever been--knowing that I've always been (very very) dark skinned. And this is because I have been PURELY studying for 3 weeks straight with literally no going out. And note the massive PIMPOWLL on my forehead and my ever-so gracious eye bags. It's okay, I am recuperating.

After which I third-wheeled with two of my friends cause my mom refused to wait with me until a dinner birthday I had to go to...

Then, I went to Marsha's 20th birthday party in Outback. Since I ate so much for lunch, I barely had room for dinner. Had ribs (2 days in a row!) and some other yummy entrees. Dinner was fun in many many ways. I chilled at Marsha's along with everyone else. I met a lot of new people. Played one of the best series of Mafia I have ever played before. hahaha! Did lots of other stuff and I won't bore you with details. Too bad, I left the camera with my bros so no photos.

I got home at around 2am, I had no choice as I was only hitching a ride (excuses excuses, I know I wanted to stay that late out haha)! And suprisingly, I DID NOT GET IN TROUBLE! *sings "for the first time"*

and to end this very boring entry, PS's:

P.S. I am going to the beach on Tuesday. Endometrium, why oh why do you have to shed today?!!!

P.P.S. I want that hard-bound Cat in the Hat book. I WANT NEED!

SUPER

I just feel like the most supercalifragilisticexpialidocious woman in the world after sitting 6 exams in a row in a span of a week and a day!

I survived and I must say that I am very very proud of myself. I feel like a superwoman (with super mega dynamic eye bags)!

Not to mention, this marks the end of my undergraduate degree (assuming I pass everything).

Let us all banana dance!

What a fucking day. Will write about it later after work. Just came from a dota game and I have 5 hours of sleep before I go visit the school after many weeks of absence.

Common Denominator

I'm a bit pissed that I've wasted a part of my weekend. Took a nap earlier around 2 pm and woke up at 1:00 am. That's about 11 hours of my life I'll never get back.

Work starts today, yet again. 5 more days til the next off. Frak.

But at least, I got regularized on Monday, so that's one worry off my back. Money couldn't be tighter around here.

Spent the 2 days watching movies, playing Arkham, reading comics and Wookieeing. Common denominator of all three? Things that are free and can be done at home. I seriously need to get out more.

Tomorrow's the Day

It used to be so simple. You just wait for the weekends. But after so many weekends you begin to wonder, what exactly am I waiting for?

Missed Anime Overload, and chances are I'll be missing Mangaholix as well. To top it up, it's almost guaranteed I won't be getting a restday or VL for new year's eve. I can go on awol like last year I think, if I get regularized tomorrow that is.

It's a split in half moment again. One half is the practical one since getting fired then moving to a new job at this time is simply not possible. Too many bills to pay. But the other half is cocky and too burnt out. I believe his motto is "Fire me so I can finally get away from this shithole". The dilemma here is both sides have seriously strong arguments I can't ignore.

Just Thinking

I wish will power and tenacity could be stored in a jar. That way whenever I feel the utmost urge or when I'm feeling "game" in an inopportune moment,  I can store the feeling for another day. It would certainly hit the spot on days where I need to do something yet feeling lethargic to do so.

Anyway, after putting it off so many times, I finally created the multiply account for the group. Next hurdle would be actually filling it with content and fixing the template. Oh, and the logo too. Then after all these small things, we can finally get started on the stuff we intend to sell.

It's not much, but the whole prospect of actually doing it makes me wanna crawl into bed and just sleep.

Commuting

I've commuted to the office from our new home thrice now, with just a wee-bit problems in the getting off part. What I hate about Makati is its inane regulations as to where a bus can load and unload passengers. It's really stupid. If the bus already stopped and is awaiting passengers, what's the harm in letting some hurrying passengers get off? I've lost count on how many times I've been late due to this idiotic rule.

Well going back to the point, in all three times I've commuted to work, I've gotten off on three different spots. Farthest by far was earlier today. I expected the bus to stop in front of GT tower, or at the very least, in front of the RCBC building, fraking driver just kept on going way past the post office. Good thing I had a few minutes to spare and made it to the office in time.

Commuting back home is another matter though. First attempt fell on a holiday, so there's not much bus around that time and I was forced to hail a cab. Second attempt was Fever Night, and rather than doze unaware and find myself way past my stop, I elected to get a cab for the fastest ride home. Third time's the charm as earlier this evening, I caught a bus with my new kasabays from work. Traded one group for another.

Think I'm slowly getting the hang of this. Next trick is to actually learn the name of the streets.

Flying Cabinets

I didn't even felt my restdays. This week's really gonna suck.

Plus I gotta stay on a budget so gotta decline any pending dota or inuman sessions.

Need some heavy duty headsets to stay sane at home. See, this is the main reason why I proposed to have the computer be placed inside the room. Aside from the obvious fact that I can watch movies in the relative comfort of a bed, another important factor is that there's no damn television inside the room.

To compound problems, the tv inside the bum's room hasn't been fitted with cable yet. So he spends all available hours parked on the living room couch, watching his annoying chinese shows while smoking his lungs out. It takes great effort not to drag the computer up the room then throw the cabinet at him to make space. That way I can do my stuff in relative peace, and the cabinet's impact might jog some hidden responsibilty or shame in him. Win-win for everyone.
